ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

The Assistant Project Manager, in our PHX, AZ office supports project execution by tracking progress, managing budgets, and resolving issues. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Assist with bid work, estimating and quoting
  • Assist the Project Manager with all aspects of the project
  • Effectively interacts and builds relationships with customers
  • Assist in building the baseline schedule and project budget
  • Oversee monthly financials, accruals, and forecasting
  • Daily reporting from the field
  • Telecom Experience understand prints
  • Supporting field management
  • Closely communicate with internal support groups
  • Resolve escalated issues that require coordination with other departments
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field
  • Geographic Information System (GIS) experience is required
  • Exceptional Microsoft Office Excel skills is required
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Primavera
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands‑on experience within telecommunications industry
  • Excellent client and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi‑tasking skills
  • The physical activity and work environment for this role includes:
    • Occasional travel as needed for site visits and client meetings
    • Occasional site visits in a range of weather conditions, including hot and cold weather
    • Walking on uneven and variable terrain for long periods
    • Sitting for extended periods in an office environment
    • Frequently standing, walking, stooping, reaching, climbing, bending and reaching
    • Manual dexterity for computer use, files and office equipment
    • Occasionally lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Pass pre‑employment drug screen and background check
