Job summary

Lifespace Communities is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist for Abbey Delray South, Delray Beach, FL. You will manage resident billing and accounts receivable, generate monthly statements, post invoices and payments, and ensure accurate billing for services and admissions.

Strong knowledge of skilled nursing billing, AR processes, and billing software is required. Experience in senior living or healthcare billing is preferred, with a dedication to accuracy and resident service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Skilled nursing billing experience is required.
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable and private pay billing processes.
• Proficiency with computer systems and billing software.
• Previous experience in senior living, long-term care, or healthcare billing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee resident billing and accounts receivable for an assigned community.
• Generate, review, and distribute monthly resident statements.
• Post invoices, charges, payments, and billing adjustments accurately.
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on delinquent accounts per policy.
• Participate in AR review meetings and suggest collection actions.
• Prepare accounts for collection agency submission when necessary.
• Verify insurance coverage and complete pre-authorizations for admissions.
• Maintain census info including admissions, transfers, discharges.
• Ensure move-in documentation is complete and properly maintained.

What You'll Do

As our Billing Specialist, you'll oversee resident billing and accounts receivable for an assigned community while serving as a trusted resource for residents, families, and team members.

• Manage all resident private pay billing and accounts receivable activities.
• Generate, review, and distribute monthly resident statements.
• Post invoices, charges, payments, and billing adjustments accurately.
• Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on delinquent accounts in accordance with company policies.
• Participate in Accounts Receivable review meetings and recommend collection actions when appropriate.
• Prepare accounts for collection agency submission when necessary.
• Verify insurance coverage and complete pre-authorizations for admissions.
