Job summary

CFS in California is seeking a Billing Specialist to join our Accounting and Operations team. You will prepare, review, and process customer invoices and support project-based billing, progress billing, and revenue recognition with leadership including the Controller.

This hybrid role offers onsite work in Coalinga/Selma and remote opportunities. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in billing or accounts receivable, construction project experience, and proficiency with Sage, Excel, Outlook, and MS

Qualifications

• 2+ years of billing, accounts receivable, or related experience.
• Construction, contracting, or project-based accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with Sage, progress billing, and T&M billing preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process customer invoices according to established billing schedules.
• Generate progress, AIA, time-and-material (T&M), and project-based billings.
• Review contracts, purchase orders, change orders, and supporting documentation prior to invoicing.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Operations, and Accounting teams to ensure accurate billing.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, rejected invoices, and customer inquiries.
• Support month-end billing activities, reporting, and reconciliation processes.
