Job summary

PrideStaff South Orange County Mission Viejo is seeking a Billing Specialist to support high-volume payment processing, accounts receivable, and reconciliation in a full-time, temp-to-hire role in California.

The ideal candidate will handle 50–70 payments daily, maintain accurate records, deliver strong customer service, and ensure policies and regulations are followed while using Excel and accounting software.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts receivable, billing, payment processing, banking, or customer account management.
• Experience in a large corporate, enterprise, healthcare, financial services, utility, or property management environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process resident assessments, rent payments, maintenance fees, care service charges, and ACH transactions.
• Process and post 50 to 70 customer payments daily, ensuring transactions are coded accurately and applied to the correct accounts.
• Monitor electronic transfers for approximately 9,000 accounts.
• Manage and monitor more than 12,000 accounts annually.
• Post payments, reconcile accounts, and balance financial records.
• Handle approximately 40 customer calls daily and return overnight voicemail messages.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, payment disputes, and account issues.
• Support collections efforts and communicate payment options to customers.
• Maintain accurate account records and prepare financial documentation.
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining compliance with policies and procedures.
