Job summary

Vanderweil Engineers in Boston, MA is seeking a Billing Specialist to join our team. You will handle daily data entry of project contract information, process billing transactions, and report project costs while coordinating with project managers and clients.

We offer a team-based, hybrid work culture with up to 2 days remote per week and opportunities to grow within the department. This role requires 1–5 years accounting experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

• Post journal entries to the general ledger.

As a Billing Specialist you will be able to grow from within our team-oriented department, while being mentored and trained on in-house reporting tools. You will be responsible for daily data entry of project contract information, billing transaction processing, and project cost reporting. This position will work closely with all levels of personnel within the accounting department as well as interact with project managers and clients on a regular basis.

You will:

• Process & distribute weekly/monthly project reports
• Communicate project cost information to project managers
• Preparation of monthly project pre-bills & final invoicing to clients
• Assist in resolving client billing issues
• Post journal entries to the general ledger

Essential Skills and Requirements:

• 1-5 years accounting experience
• Associate, Bachelor or Relevant work experience

The total compensation that we expect to pay for this position is dependent on years of experience, licensure, education, geographic location, and project portfolio but expected to be in the $55,000 to $75,000 range.
