Job summary

Hoxton Circle is partnered with a long-established client in the Bay Area seeking a consulting/interim Revenue Billing Manager for up to a 6-month term. The role is temporary with potential extension based on performance.

Responsibilities include revenue accounting under ASC 606, managing the Deal Desk, month-end close, forecasts, and audits. Requires SaaS experience and a finance/Accounting degree; NetSuite familiarity is a plus. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Experience in SaaS preferred.
• Public company experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with Netsuite is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the revenue accounting and ASC 606 compliance.
• Manage the Deal Desk process for billing and revenue recognition.
• Assist month-end close with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Collaborate on revenue and margin forecasts vs actuals.
• Establish and improve procedures for new customers, credit, memos and discounts.
• Support external audits and auditor requests.
• Develop and mentor team members on career paths.
• Provide standardized revenue reporting.
• Handle ad hoc projects as assigned.

Job description

Hoxton Circle has partnered with a long established client in the bay area seeking a consulting/interim Revenue Billing Manager to join their team for up to a 6-month term. The role will be temporary only with possibility to extend based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the proper accounting treatment of revenue and costs according to company revenue and costs policies (ASC 606 & ASC 340)
• Owning the Deal Desk process to review sale contracts for billing and revenue recognition purposes
• Facilitate in the month-end close with creating journal entries and preparing reconciliations for related accounts
• Collaborate internally and externally on revenue and margin forecasts versus actuals and resolve discrepancies
• Establish and improve operating procedures for new customers, credit limits, credit memos, write-offs and discount policies
• Participate in external audits by helping with auditor requests
• Developing and mentoring team members on career paths
• Provide standardized revenue reporting
• Other ad hoc projects as assigned

Requirements

• Working experience with ASC 606*
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
• Experience in SaaS highly preferred.
• Public company experience is a plus
• Familiarity with Enterprise accounting systems such as Netsuite is a plus
