Job summary

Vaco, a healthcare technology company, seeks an Interim Billing & Revenue Manager / Senior Manager to lead and scale its billing and accounts receivable function. This fully remote role is anticipated to last seven months.

Responsibilities include overseeing invoicing, collections, cash application, and AR metrics, while developing the team and partnering with Finance to review contracts and resolve issues. Strong U.S. GAAP knowledge and process improvement experience are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in billing, accounts receivable, revenue operations, accounting, or related finance function.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with ownership of a billing, collections, or accounts receivable team.
• Strong knowledge of billing, collections, cash application, revenue recognition, U.S. GAAP, and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Lead billing and accounts receivable operations, including invoicing, collections, cash application, reconciliations, and issue resolution.
• Manage and develop the billing and AR team while establishing clear priorities, accountability, and performance expectations.

• Establish and monitor performance metrics related to aging, collections, billing accuracy, cash flow, and operational effectiveness.

• Support month-end close, revenue recognition, account reconciliations, and financial reporting activities.
• Strengthen billing and collections policies, internal controls, process documentation, and operating procedures.

• Analyze billing and receivables trends and provide leadership with actionable insights into risks and opportunities.

Our client, a healthcare technology company, is seeking an Interim Billing & Revenue Manager / Senior Manager to lead and scale its billing and accounts receivable function.

This role is fully remote, and has an anticipated duration of 7 months.

Responsibilities:

• Lead billing and accounts receivable operations, including invoicing, collections, cash application, reconciliations, and issue resolution
• Manage and develop the billing and AR team while establishing clear priorities, accountability, and performance expectations
• Serve as the escalation point for complex billing matters, collection challenges, and customer account discrepancies
• Establish and monitor performance metrics related to aging, collections, billing accuracy, cash flow, and operational effectiveness
• Partner with Finance and customer-facing teams to review contracts, interpret billing requirements, and resolve payment issues
• Support month-end close, revenue recognition, account reconciliations, and financial reporting activities
