Job summary

TEAMCare Behavioral Health LLC is seeking a Billing Representative to join our team full-time. You will work behind the scenes to ensure billing compliance, timely invoicing, and accurate records in the accounts receivable system.

Your responsibilities include posting payments, verifying insurance, coordinating with payers, billing patients, and handling disputes with carriers. Proficiency with EMR software/clearinghouses and strong attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Previous medical billing experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel and MS Word; ability to learn other applications.
• Clearances: Act 33, Act 34, and FBI required.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring health providers are paid for medical services rendered.
• Posting payments accurately to patient accounts and ledgers.
• Reviewing patient medical records for billing accuracy.
• Coordinating reimbursement activities with payers and insurance carriers.
• Billing patients for medical services and verifying insurance details.
• Utilizing EMR software/clearinghouse to perform medical billing and coding functions.
• Creating and submitting disputes, reconsiderations, investigations, and appeals to insurers.
• Managing claims, collections, reimbursements, transfers, and potential issues with carriers and patients.

Billing Representative- FT

We are in need of a motivated, hard-working team player who is a quick learner and can work independently behind the scenes. The Billing Representative is responsible for ensuring compliance with TEAMCare's billing and collections policies and procedures, timely and accurate invoicing, as well as inputting and monitoring documents, transactions and records impacting the Accounts Receivable system.

Major Duties and Responsibilities include

• Ensuring health providers are paid for medical services rendered
• Payment posting
• Reviewing patient medical records
• Coordinating reimbursement activities with payers
• Billing patients for medical services
• Verifying medical insurance
• Utilizing EMR software/clearinghouse to perform medical billing and coding functions
• Creating and submitting disputes, reconsiderations, investigations, and appeals to insurance carriers
• May be handling claims, collections, reimbursements, transfers, and insurance fraud issues in writing and over the phone directly with carriers and patients

Qualifications

• Previous medical billing experience preferred
• Excellent organizational skills as well as oral and written communication skills and exceptional detail orientation.
• Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and ability to learn and efficiently utilize other computer applications
• Act 33 Clearance, Act 34 Clearance, and FBI Clearance
