Job summary

DeepInfra is seeking a Billing & Payments Manager to own how usage turns into revenue on our AI platform. You’ll oversee the telemetry-to-cash pipeline, invoicing, and collections for self-serve and enterprise customers, working with Engineering, Finance, and Sales.

You’re analytical, data-driven, and comfortable shaping pricing, payment methods, and fraud controls as our product scales. This role combines operations, fintech, and cross-functional collaboration at high growth.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in billing operations, payments, monetization, or related roles in usage-based SaaS.
• Hands-on experience with Stripe or similar payment platforms; understand retries, chargebacks, payment performance.
• Experience with metered or consumption-based billing and prepaid credits.
• Strong data fluency; comfortable with billing and usage data; SQL is a plus.
• Ability to collaborate with Engineering on billing systems, fraud controls, and automation.
• Operational ownership of critical financial workflows at scale.

Responsibilities

• Oversee telemetry-to-cash pipeline from metered usage to cash collection.
• Run monthly and real-time invoicing for thousands of self-serve customers and enterprise terms.
• Reconcile transaction fees, card authorizations, and chargebacks with Stripe and gateways.
• Manage payment gateway routing and retry logic to improve payment success.
• Partner with Engineering to mitigate billing fraud and abuse.
• Lead collections for overdue accounts and manage dunning/suspension thresholds.
• Collaborate with Corporate Controller on deferred revenue and breakage schedules.
• Help operationalize new pricing models such as throughput reservations and burst overages.
