This role ensures timely verification and preauthorization of patient benefits, supporting revenue cycle efficiency and patient access while driving policies, training, and performance management.

The role requires 5-7 years in healthcare billing, 2-3 years in supervision, strong CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS knowledge, and strong cross-functional

Qualifications

• 5-7 years in healthcare billing operations
• 2-3 years in supervisory/management role
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding and payer regulations
• Experience leading cross-functional initiatives
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare billing systems
• Familiarity with Medicare Advantage plans and Xifin is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Verification Authorization team ensuring accurate insurance verification and preauthorizations.
• Develop and monitor team performance metrics for turnaround time and accuracy.
• Collaborate with payers to resolve eligibility discrepancies and denials.
• Partner with Revenue Cycle to identify trends and process improvements.
• Train and mentor staff on payer guidelines and systems.
• Provide regular reporting on eligibility performance and payer turnaround times.
