Job summary

Twilio is seeking a Billing Operations Analyst to support revenue and invoicing processes, improve controls, and provide detailed analytics for customer billing across our internal ERP and billing platforms.

The role requires strong Excel skills, experience with billing systems like Oracle/Zuora/Salesforce, and comfort working in a fast-paced, remote-first environment. Ability to communicate clearly with Sales and customers is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Billing / Revenue / Order to Cash.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with Oracle, Zuora and Salesforce is advantageous.
• Solid experience handling large volume transactions with attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel with pivots and VLOOKUPs.
• 1-3 years in an Operations role.
• Periodic weekend work will be essential.
• Third level qualification in Accountancy, Finance or related discipline.
• Proficient in Spanish and English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Revenue Team external customer email, responding to queries and onboarding customers to Twilio’s billing system and ERP; format large raw data sets for billing reporting.
• Assist in month end close: manage recurring billing, approvals, credits; analyze revenue-related accounts.
• Develop and implement financial controls around revenue and invoicing; onboard customers to billing and ERP systems.
• Participate in external and internal audits as requested.
• Resolve customer billing queries; conduct detailed issue analysis for Sales.
• Analyze large datasets in Excel and communicate results to Sales via Slack, SFDC, and calls.
• Work under pressure to meet SLA; collaborate with teams to resolve root causes.
• Support other Billing Ops teams as needed; participate in Month End close.

Responsibilities

In this role you’ll:

• Maintain Revenue Team external customer email, responding to customer and other external queries in a timely manner and onboard customers to Twilio’s internal billing system and Financial ERP system, Gather and format large raw data sets to assist with customer billing reporting and queries.
• Participate in month end close, including: Managing and tracking recurring billing and managing approvals, tracking and application of customer credits. Analysis of revenue related balance sheet accounts, Ad hoc customer financial reporting.
• Assist and participate in the development and implementation of financial controls and process surrounding revenue and invoicing, Onboard customers to Twilio’s internal billing system and Financial ERP system.
• Participate in external and internal audits, as requested.
• Resolve queries customers are facing relating to their billing.
• Independently investigate customer issues, searching internal resources, previous cases, Slack channels etc to understand issues and provide detailed analysis of customer issues to the Sales team.
• Manipulate and analyze large datasets in Excel.
• Respond to the Sales team in a timely manner and communicate complicated issues via Slack, via SFDC, via calls. Excellent communication skills are required - occasional calls with customers or Senior Leaders may be required.
• Work under pressure - high paced environment, quick turnaround times in order to comply with team SLA’s
• Collaborate with other teams in order to solve root problems to customer issues
• Help out on other teams within the Billing Ops group, as requested
• Participate in Month End close, as requested.

Required:

Location

This role will be remote, and based in Mexico City Mexico.

Travel
