Job summary

Kong is hiring a Product Manager, Billing to lead the product and systems work behind how Konnect makes money: entitlements, metering, checkout, invoicing, provisioning, and related enterprise and marketplace motions.

You will be the product owner of Konnect's commercial operating layer, turning sales into accurate invoices and a seamless customer experience. This role collaborates with Finance, Sales, and Engineering to scale revenue.

Qualifications

• Experience in product management for billing/monetization
• Understanding of entitlement and metering concepts
• Ability to drive cross-functional initiatives
• Knowledge of pricing strategies and monetization flows

Responsibilities

• Set a multi-year direction for Konnect pricing, metering, entitlements, and invoicing.
• Build the entitlements model to define access across Konnect and reflect in billing.
• Translate pricing decisions into production reality: configuring plans, reshaping metering, updating contracts, guiding migrations.
• Run the event pipeline, aggregation, and reporting to show usage and charges with high accuracy.
• Own self-serve checkout and subscription lifecycle including changes, renewals, and migrations.
