NYU Langone Florida is seeking a Lead Billing Representative to guide the billing team, resolve denials, and implement process improvements for timely and accurate billing operations. This role acts as the first level of leadership support for Billing Representatives.

The position emphasizes training, cross-department collaboration, and staff coaching to maintain high standards and exceptional patient service.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical billing, accounts receivable, insurance, or related duties.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10; English usage, grammar and spelling; basic math.
• 3 years experience in a similar role. Light, accurate keyboarding skills; 35 wpm preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication, cross-department collaboration.
• Time management and ability to build relationships with peers and leadership.

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day activities of assigned billing staff.
• Monitor and resolve work queues to ensure timely AR follow-up and financial clearance.
• Serve as subject matter expert and share knowledge across the team.
• Assist with training and development of pathways and guides.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle, Credentialing, and Managed Care to resolve issues.
• Provide feedback on workflow gaps, denial trends, and process improvements.
• Assist with patient and provider inquiries via phone, CRM, or email.
• Escalate issues to supervisor/manager as appropriate.
