Job summary

Flying Food Group is seeking a Billing Clerk to prepare, review, and process invoices for airline and nonairline customers in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will verify orders, resolve billing discrepancies, maintain records, and support month-end closing with cross-functional teams in Operations, Customer Service, Finance, and Sales.

The role emphasizes accurate billing, timely payment collection, and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, or accounting experience.
• Experience in food manufacturing, airline catering, logistics, or distribution preferred.
• Strong knowledge of billing procedures and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and ERP/accounting systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Supervisory responsibility: none.

Responsibilities

• Generate and process invoices for airline catering, retail, food service, and commercial customers.
• Verify customer orders, delivery records, production reports, and pricing agreements before billing.
• Ensure accurate billing for food products, charges, and services.
• Reconcile invoices against purchase orders, contracts, and delivery documentation.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, customer inquiries, and payment issues.
• Maintain up-to-date customer billing records and account information.
• Process credit memos, adjustments, and account corrections as needed.
• Monitor outstanding invoices and assist with accounts receivable collections.
• Prepare billing reports and support month-end closing activities.
• Collaborate with Operations, Logistics, and Customer Service to ensure accurate invoicing.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and procedures.
• Support audits by providing invoice documentation and records.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently and perform other duties as assigned.
