Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Analyst to join a leading utility company in San Diego. You will ensure accurate and timely customer invoicing, maintain billing data integrity, and support revenue reporting while collaborating with accounting, finance, and customer service teams.

The role requires 1-2 years in billing/finance, a bachelor's in finance/accounting/business, strong Excel skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in a billing, finance, accounting, or analytical role.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to reconcile large data sets and identify discrepancies.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other business systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively across accounting, finance, and customer service teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze billing data to verify invoice accuracy and identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Investigate and resolve billing issues to ensure timely and accurate customer invoicing.
• Reconcile billing records with financial and accounting systems to support accurate revenue recognition and reporting.
• Partner with accounting and finance teams to research and correct billing discrepancies.
• Respond to customer billing inquiries, disputes, and payment arrangement requests while providing excellent customer service.
• Maintain, update, and troubleshoot billing systems to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency.
• Assist with process documentation and recommend improvements that enhance billing accuracy and reduce manual effort.
• Support reporting initiatives by compiling and analyzing billing metrics and performance data.
