Job summary

PSEG Public Service Electric & Gas Co is seeking a Business Support Specialist in a Hybrid role to support billing and collection for infrastructure relocation project costs. You'll use SAP, an inhouse SQL database, and MS tools to produce cost analyses for invoicing and decision making.

Role requires coordination with internal/external process owners and project managers to ensure accurate cost data presented to State Agencies and customers. Onsite presence within the division is expected.

Qualifications

• BS degree or 7 years of equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of SAP FI/CO modules and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to build partnerships across organization.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide financial support for Third Party Billing activities, including billing, collection, and reconciliation of project costs.
• Monitor receivables, send dunning letters, and follow up on invoices over 90 days.
• Coordinate with project managers to resolve issues in the collection process.
• Create and maintain reports/analytics to track project costs and payments.
• Prepare documentation for project change orders.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians onsite as needed.
• Serve as liaison between Third Party Billing and internal/external teams to resolve issues.
• Update project data in the inhouse database and assess enhancements.
• Prepare daily, monthly, annual, and ad hoc reports for operations.
• Perform root-cause analysis and recommend process improvements.
• Extract data, conduct financial reviews, and support decision making.
