Job summary

Ascot Group seeks a strategic Head of Billing & Collections to lead invoicing, cash application, collections, and related receivables operations across the organization. This role drives process discipline, strong controls, and high-quality service for stakeholders.

The leader will champion the Guidewire billing implementation, collaborate with Underwriting, Claims, Treasury, and Technology, and build a high-performing team in a hybrid Stamford setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Progressive experience in accounts receivable, billing, collections, finance operations, or a related discipline with people leadership.
• Experience in insurance or financial services environments is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of billing operations, receivables management, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end Billing & Collections: invoicing, cash application, collections, reconciliations, and receivables.
• Define strategy and operating model for Billing & Collections, including direct, agency, and deductible billing.
• Develop policies, controls, and performance metrics for timely, accurate, and scalable execution.
• Oversee reporting dashboards on aging, collections, cash flow, and working capital.
