Job summary

Independence Blue Cross in Philadelphia is seeking a Lead Self-Funded Billing Analyst to own the Self Funded Billing & Collections, Cash Application, and Finance Business and Systems Support functions.

You will identify process improvements, work with technical staff to align system functions with workflows, and partner with internal and external customers to maintain controls and timely reporting. Strong project management and analytical skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Business related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in Billing, Finance or Operations.
• Ability to define complex issues and propose best-fit solutions.
• Experience identifying regulations and required controls.
• Experience with data mining, reporting, and trend analysis.
• Ability to train and transfer knowledge across teams.

Responsibilities

• Understand Self Funded Billing, Collections, Cash Application and related systems.
• Identify process improvements and system inconsistencies; implement solutions.
• Act as business consultant with internal/external customers; maintain controls.
• Provide month-end reporting, variance analysis and ad-hoc reports.
• Assist with AR delinquencies, reconciliations and escalations.
• Lead design, development and implementation of complex business needs and projects.
• Provide leadership for billing and customer account analysis and corporate initiatives.
