Wellstar Health System, Inc. is seeking a Billing and Claims Specialist II to manage claim creation, follow-up, and correspondence with providers and payers. The role uses Epic EMR and clearinghouse tools to ensure accurate submissions and timely payments across paper and electronic channels.

You will support staff training, participate in system testing, and drive process improvements while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance and quality standards within the revenue cycle team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years medical billing experience.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding systems.
• CRCR or CRCR-P certification preferred upon hire.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and submit clean claims to third party payers electronically or by paper.
• Resolve claim submission edits and payor rejections using CMS rules and CPT guidelines.
• Train new Billing and Claims Specialist I team members.
• Work with clearinghouse and Change Healthcare to manage follow-ups.
• Ensure billing activity is documented in the patient accounting system.
• Identify opportunities for system and process improvements.
• Assist with credentialing and provider enrollment processes as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and comply with policies.
