Job summary

CFS in Houston seeks a Billing & Accounts Receivable Manager to own billing and AR for the office, driving accurate invoicing, timely processing, and improved collections. You will partner with local leadership and administrative teams to enhance cash flow and billing efficiency.

This role offers the autonomy of an individual-contributor position with access to offshore support resources and a direct impact on AR performance and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in billing and AR/collections with direct customer follow-up.
• Public accounting firm experience required; regional or smaller firm backgrounds welcome.
• Strong communication, organization, and practice-management-system skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee billing activities, including invoice preparation, accuracy, and timely processing.
• Manage accounts receivable and collections, proactively following up on outstanding balances.
• Monitor AR aging, resolve discrepancies, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve payment timelines.
• Coordinate offshore resources and collaborate with the local administrative team.
• Identify opportunities to streamline billing processes and strengthen collections practices.
