Position Overview:

Horizon Health is seeking two Full-Time Billing and Collections Associates. These positions are responsible for managing billing and collections duties as directed by the Director of Coding and Billing. Successful candidates should be passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centered care. Horizon Health offers a collaborative, team-oriented work environment focused on meeting individual patient needs and supporting community health and wellness.

This position may be remote in South Dakota, an adjacent state, or at any Horizon location.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle patient questions regarding insurance billing, credit arrangements, and account status.
• Monitor accounts for insurance activity; follow-up on problematic claims.
• Prepare and submit monthly patient statements and insurance claim forms, including electronic claims.
• Research insurance denials or rejections and work to correct and resubmit claims to maximize revenue.
