Job summary

FHI 360 seeks a detail‑oriented contract billing professional in the United States to manage invoicing for diverse projects, ensuring compliance with GAAP, FAR, CAS, and 2 CFR 200. You will prepare and file invoices, reconcile accounts, and generate cost analyses for internal and funder reporting.

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, 3+ years in billing, strong MS Office skills, and NGO experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in an accounting/finance billing field
• Experience in billing and knowledge of work breakdown structures
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and data entry/automated accounting systems
• Prior NGO experience; understanding of US Government FAR, CAS and 2 CFR 200 regulations
• Independent worker with multitasking ability and meeting deadlines

Responsibilities

• Ensure invoicing documents conform to funder contract standards and regulations and are transmitted to funders
• Read and interpret contractual billing terms to adhere to requirements and timelines
• Provide administrative support for contract billing and revenue recognition
• Use billing systems to prepare bills, reconcile invoices and adjust NICRA rates
• Prepare reports and maintain billing records; escalate issues to management
• Collaborate with program staff to provide accurate, timely invoices aligned with budgets and contracts
• Produce monthly reconciliations and analyze project costs for unbilled items
• Review and interpret contractual documents to ensure compliance
