Job description

As a Billing Analyst, you possess acute attention to detail and have a penchant for meeting deadlines. You work well independently, but you are also a team player who takes initiative to help team members meet department goals. You take pride in your level of professionalism. You are comfortable speaking with vendors. You are resourceful and diligent in resolving matters, and you are quick to offer assistance when requested and always have a positive can-do attitude.

This is a full-time, salaried, remote -OR- onsite position. Candidates must reside within the continental U.S., eastern or central time zone highly preferred. Onsite candidates should be located within commuting distance to our Herndon, VA office. Note: there are multiple location posts for this position, please apply to ONLY one post in the metro market where you most closely reside.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accounts Receivable
  • Deposit and post-payment
  • Handling corporate collection on past due accounts
  • Corresponding via telephone, and or email for all outstanding invoices
  • Verify discrepancies and resolving customer billing issues, short payments, or other deductions on remittances
  • Reconciliation of customer accounts to outstanding customer balance
  • Perform other accounting duties as assigned by Supervisor

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree, highly preferred
  • Minimum of 3+ years of accounts receivable experience
  • Analytical approach to planning, problem solving, and decision making
  • Acute attention to detail with “big picture” understanding
  • High-level of initiative and ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Customer Service orientated
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS office (including Outlook, Excel)
  • Demonstrated ability and aptitude with accounting system platforms

COMPENSATION

Competitive compensation will be commensurate with experience, starting at $50,000. Participation in company benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), wellness, and more.
