Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze benefits billing preparation/analysis tasks for clients.
• Produce employee enrollment reports from Payroll and Benefit Administration Systems.
• Validate billing premiums and perform basic math calculations.
• Create basic reports for invoice reconciliation, auditing, and data requests.
• Populate carrier invoices and support clients with invoices and reporting.
• Document process, status, and tracking of projects.

Job description

• Under direction, performs specialized employee benefits billing preparation/analysis and provides expertise in one or more areas of systems analysis for insurance carriers
• Work with business partners to understand billing requirements, document policy details and validate data
• Produce employee enrollment reports from client Payroll and Benefit Administration Systems
• Analyze billing data and prepare it for processing, validate billing premiums by manually calculating rates
• Create basic reports for invoice reconciliation, auditing, and data requests
• Populate carrier invoices
• Provide support to clients, business partners and colleagues as it pertains to invoices and reporting
• Document process, status and additional tracking of projects

Qualifications/Skills Required

• At least two years of professional work experience.
• Undergraduate degree (preferred, but not required)
• The ideal candidate will be comfortable on the phone and presenting to clients and prospects in person or via webinar.
• Knowledge/Experience in Employee Benefits or Payroll administration
• Experience Accounts Payable/Receivable is a plus
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Experience in Data Analysis is a plus
• Accurately read and interpret insurance explanation of benefit plans
• Experience with Benefit Enrollment Systems, HRIS, Payroll Systems and their reporting engines
• Some knowledge of Project Management Software and other project management tools for task tracking and team collaboration efforts
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Must be able to define problems and solutions, prioritize workload, critically think, work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; manage multiple assignments; compose written material; work well under pressure; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail
