Job summary

National Youth Advocate Program is seeking a Transporter Specialist for the La Jornada Program, focusing on transitional foster care. You will coordinate transportation, escort youth, and ensure safety during travel and appointments.

The role requires frequent travel, strong communication, and the ability to work independently within a team, with a commitment to diversity and child welfare.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience working with at-risk youth is required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish fluency is required.
• Excellent time management and organization skills are required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transportation and escort youth during transit.
• Travel out of state up to 40–50% for reunification efforts.
• Maintain daily transport rosters, schedules, and logs.
• Provide safety training and CPI/CPR refreshers to new hires every three weeks.
• Assist with vehicle upkeep, safety, and fueling; report issues promptly.
