Job summary

Wheeler Clinic seeks a Bilingual Senior Counselor to support emerging adults (ages 17-21) transitioning to adulthood. You will coach housing, employment, education, and life skills; receive training and supervision; and work with a team dedicated to young adults.

The role covers the greater Bridgeport and Norwalk area, is full-time, and includes a benefits package with health, dental, vision, life insurance, a 403(b) plan, and education reimbursement. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree required in psychology, social work, counseling or related field.
• Experience working with young adults and at-risk youth.
• Fluency in English and Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and develop treatment plans per program model.
• Counsel individuals, groups and families with supervision.
• Coordinate care with internal and external providers and document in client records.
• Maintain logs and reports in compliance with Medicaid and licensing requirements.
• Provide crisis intervention and safety planning under supervision.
• Transport clients to appointments if needed and support transition plans.
• Deliver services in office and community settings with a flexible schedule.

Skills
