Job summary

TSNE/WJP seeks a part-time Workers' Rights Organizer to engage app delivery workers across New York City, with a focus on French-speaking immigrant communities. The role is based at the Williamsburg Worker Center and requires extensive field time.

Join the LDU team to build membership, empower leadership, and advance campaigns for safer, better pay. Strong bilingual communication and organizing experience are essential; flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends, are expected.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in French and English strongly preferred.
• Proven track record in community organizing and campaigns.
• Experience in delivery/ gig economy a strong plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Google Apps.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outreach to app delivery workers across NYC and educate them about workplace rights.
• Build and strengthen WJP/LDU membership through group and one-on-one engagements.
• Support leadership development trainings and campaign planning.
• Assist with daily operations and join field activities.
• Help manage conflicts constructively and foster cooperative relationships.
• Coordinate with centers across NYC for staffing and events.
• Support case management and worker rights complaints as needed.
• Participate in organizing campaigns and mobilizations.
