Job summary

New York Billing Solutions Inc. seeks an experienced Workers Compensation/No Fault Billing Specialist for a large orthopedic practice in the Financial District. Excellent salary and benefits commensurate with experience.

You will provide W/C billing expertise for the Billing Department, actively applying strategies to improve revenue and collections. Responsibilities include remittance reviews, denial follow-up, prior authorizations, and EPIC system usage.

Qualifications

Excellent understanding of workers' compensation guidelines.
Extensive communication with insurance carriers, adjusters and patients.
Daily reviews of remittance statements and explanations of benefits.
Follow-up with denials and appeal letters.
Create and process workers' compensation prior authorizations for orthopedic treatment.
Knowledge of EPIC billing system.
Monitor and follow up with billing reports.
Strong written and communication skills are essential.
Ability to multitask.
Teamwork environment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
