Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Manage a docket of Workers’ Compensation cases before the Texas DWC.
• Research and apply Texas Workers’ Compensation laws and regulations.
• Negotiate with insurance adjusters and opposing counsel to resolve disputes.
• Prepare cases for mediations, hearings, and bench trials.
• Present legal arguments and examine witnesses before administrative law judges.
• Draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
• Meet with clients and provide guidance on claims and options.
• Keep clients informed throughout the legal process.
• Stay current on Texas Workers’ Compensation law changes.
• Collaborate with paralegals on day-to-day case management.
