The Houston law firm seeks a bilingual Junior Associate to support its Workers’ Compensation practice, offering meaningful courtroom experience, direct client contact, and mentorship.

You will manage a docket before the Texas Department of Insurance, research Texas WC law, negotiate with adjusters, and prepare cases for mediations and trials, while collaborating with experienced attorneys and paralegals. This is a hybrid Houston role.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas Bar license and good standing.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (written and verbal).
• Strong research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a docket of Workers’ Compensation cases before the Texas Department of Insurance, Division of Workers’ Compensation.
• Research and apply Texas WC laws, rules, and regulations.
• Negotiate with adjusters and opposing counsel to resolve disputes.
• Prepare cases for mediations, bench trials, and other proceedings.
• Present arguments, examine witnesses, and advocate before administrative law judges.
