Job summary

Adelante Healthcare is seeking a WIC Receptionist/Community Nutrition Educator Float at the Buckeye location. You will greet clients, route calls, schedule appointments, and certify clients for the WIC program while coordinating with nutrition staff and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities include counseling clients, documenting in WIC Hands software, and ensuring confidentiality. The role requires HS diploma, CPR/AED, and Fingerprint Clearance; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
• CPR and AED certification per AHA/Red Cross guidelines (course-based)
• Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by AZ DPS for behavioral health locations
• Professional customer service experience
• Scheduling appointments and managing walk-ins
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and related programs
• Competency in working with people of diverse cultures
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Bilingual English and Spanish strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Answer calls, take messages, and direct calls appropriately
• Demonstrate efficient use of HANDs System to schedule, enroll clients, and obtain income documentation
• Order office supplies for the WIC Program as requested
• Manage a wide range of administrative tasks and projects
• Maintain organization and appearance of multiple office areas
• Conduct health appraisals and nutritional assessments and record in WIC Hands software
• Provide nutrition counseling and refer to a registered dietitian when needed
• Complete required documentation for WIC eligibility
• Provide education, counseling and referrals to clients
• Handle routine office matters and customer service issues
• Travel to other sites as requested
• Conduct hemoglobin testing per ADHS policy
