Job summary

Variety Care seeks a WIC Clerk to support the Women, Infants & Children program. You will answer phones, determine eligibility, schedule appointments with Certifiers and Nutritionists, issue benefits, and maintain participant charts using PHOCIS.

You may also prepare transfer records and mail notifications. The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work across multiple locations, and bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish).

Qualifications

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required or preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and initiative.
• Trustworthy with handling confidential information.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-location environment.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone and manage inquiries in a courteous, efficient manner.
• Determine WIC applicants' financial eligibility and schedule appointments with Certifiers and Nutritionists.
• Issue benefits and maintain WIC participant charts and PHOCIS data.
• Prepare transfer records and mail notifications; file charts for CPA's.
• Attend outreach activities as requested and ensure client charts are up-to-date.
