Job summary

Variosystems is seeking a warehouse associate in El Paso, TX to handle, pack, label, and ship finished goods per customer specs and QM guidelines. You will store items per ESD requirements and support accurate, high-quality shipments across North America and beyond.

Responsibilities include coordinating with the Mexico plant, verifying shipments, and maintaining documentation; forklift and computer skills, attention to detail, and bilingual English/Spanish are required.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience and basic computer literacy are required.
• Attention to detail and good math skills are essential for accurate handling and documentation.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication is required for daily interactions.
• SAP experience is a plus for logistics and invoicing processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with the Mexico customs broker and traffic department to ensure accuracy and expedite shipments.
• Verifies shipments by comparing counts, invoices, and packing lists.
• Unpacks, inspects, and documents incoming shipments; reports discrepancies to procurement or buyers.
• Communicates findings and coordinates with suppliers and carriers for resolution and tracking.
• Maintains part numbers, quantities, supplier data, and receipt dates in Excel or other systems.
• Supports warehouse safety protocols and keeps work area clean and organized.

Position Overview

The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the accurate handling, packing, labeling, and shipping of finished goods in accordance with customer specifications and quality standards. The role also includes proper storage of finished goods in compliance with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) requirements. This position supports the company's commitment to delivering fast, accurate, and high-quality shipments while working within the guidelines of the Quality Management (QM) System to contribute to Variosystems’ overall quality initiatives and growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborates closely with the Mexico customs broker and traffic department to ensure accuracy, reconcile discrepancies, and expedite shipments as needed.
• Verifies incoming and outgoing shipments by comparing identifying information, item counts, invoices, and packing lists.
• Unpacks, inspects, and documents incoming shipments; reports any rejected or damaged materials, missing documents, quantity discrepancies, or issues with purchase order terms and packing lists. Communicates findings to the Buyer or designated SL/JZ support.
• Reports discrepancies and works with Procurement to ensure timely resolution regarding timing, documentation, and quantities.
• Follows up with carriers and contacts suppliers as needed for tracking purposes; manages pre-alerts daily and maintains records of all communications.
• Tracks shipments for high‑priority ("hot") orders and prepares a hot list for expedited delivery to the Mexico plant.
• Validates and maintains part numbers, quantity counts, supplier information, and receipt dates in Excel or other documented processes for visibility.
• Provides support in generating packing lists or other required documentation for inbound and outbound activities as assigned.
• Supports third‑party warehouse safety protocols and processes as needed.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area.

Required Qualifications

• Forklift experience
• Basic computer skills required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good math skills are essential.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish, verbally and in writing.
• Strong visual acuity — must be able to clearly read small labels and packing lists at approximately 20 inches.
• Flexible with work schedule
• SAP experience is a plus.
• Dual passport is a plus.
