Job summary

Kern Medical is hiring a Vocational Nurse I/II for its Medicine Specialty Clinic in Bakersfield, CA. This full-time, on-site role requires delivering quality patient care under supervision and working in both medical and correctional settings as needed.

Eligible candidates should hold a CA Vocational Nurse license, BLS certification, and preferably be bilingual in English and Spanish to assist diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Vocational Nurse license issued by the State of California.
• Current AHA BLS certification required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred for patient interactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under supervision in hospital or clinic settings.
• Perform nursing tasks, treatments, and basic procedures.
• Administer medications if certified and as assigned.
• Maintain accurate patient records and report changes in condition.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures; assist with treatments.
• Support correctional nursing duties when assigned, following policies.
