Seneca Family of Agencies in San Jose, CA seeks a Bilingual Visitation Counselor to support families toward reunification. You will supervise visits, document observations, and help build confidence and stronger connections for children and caregivers.

The role requires a bilingual Spanish speaker, flexible evenings/weekends, and a valid driver's license. A comprehensive benefits package and PTO are included to support staff and families within the agency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree OR Associate degree plus 1 year of applicable work experience OR High school diploma/GED plus 2 years of applicable work experience.
• Bilingual Spanish; pass the language proficiency exam.
• Flexible schedule with ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• At least 21 years of age; valid driver's license and insurability.

Responsibilities

• Supervise visits between children and parents, ensuring age-appropriate interaction and safety.
• Prepare reports, assessments, goals, and case planning based on visits.
• Keep Child Welfare Worker informed of progress and challenges.
• Collaborate with Child Welfare Worker to build enrichment programs for each visit.
• Transport children and families as requested by the Child Welfare Worker or Visitation Coordinator.
• Orient families to visitation center procedures prior to initial visits.
