Job summary

Family Crisis Center seeks a Bilingual Advocate to provide trauma-informed, survivor-centered services for Spanish-speaking survivors of domestic violence and other violent crimes. The role includes direct advocacy, case management, and translating services to LEP clients.

You will conduct outreach, participate in trainings, and collaborate with local agencies to strengthen resources and public understanding of victim needs, while meeting training requirements and maintaining client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.
• Bilingual Spanish and English required.
• Experience in crisis intervention or victim advocacy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed, survivor-centered advocacy and case management.
• Assist survivors with protection orders, Crime Victim Compensation, and legal advocacy.
• Accompany clients to court hearings, law enforcement interviews, and medical appointments.
• Provide interpretation and translation for LEP clients during interactions and outreach.
• Maintain confidential, complete case records and timely data entry.
• Conduct community outreach, trainings, and victim-services awareness activities.
• Travel frequently for client support, outreach, and training.
