Job summary

Oregon Youth Authority seeks a bilingual Victim Advocate to work within the Victim Engagement Program. You will provide trauma-informed advocacy to crime victims and survivors, explain rights and processes, and help victims navigate the juvenile justice system while connecting them to community services.

You will collaborate with county agencies and treatment teams to share victim input, support restorative services, and enhance access for Latine communities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or three years of technical-level experience related to victim services.
• Experience providing direct services, advocacy, case management, or support to individuals/families in victim services or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed advocacy to crime victims and survivors.
• Explain victims' rights, juvenile justice processes, and OYA programming.
• Assist with victim impact statements and ensure access for monolingual Spanish-speaking victims.
• Build referral networks with culturally specific victim service providers and organizations.
