Job summary

New York Health is seeking a bilingual Registered Nurse (RN) - Urology to join our Brooklyn, NY team. The RN will assist physicians, document patient data, and develop individualized care plans within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications include NYS RN license, BLS, strong communication, EMR experience, and ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Flexible, full-time schedule with travel between NYH locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid New York State RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong interpersonal skills with patients, staff, and healthcare professionals.
• Experience with EMR systems.
• Knowledge of PPE when administering cytotoxic agents, handling bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids.
• Reliability travelling between NYH locations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various positions.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with exams and urologic procedures; prepare and administer injections.
• Document vital signs, weight, height, and progress in medical records.
• Develop individualized care plans for patients under supervision.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient care.
• Educate patients and families on treatment expectations and aftercare.
• Monitor progress and adjust care plans in real-time.
• Finalize MAR and ensure discharge instructions are patient-specific.
