Zusammenfassung

New York Health (NYH) is seeking a Registered Nurse - Urology at our Brooklyn location. You will create individualized care plans, monitor vital signs, assist physicians, and support patients and families throughout treatment. Fluency in English and Russian is required, and NY state RN licensure is mandatory.

This role involves EMR use, lifting up to 50 pounds, and occasional travel to NYH sites. Competitive hourly pay starts around $53.80 with full benefits.

Qualifikationen

• Valid New York State RN License.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with an EMR (preferred).
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Reliable transportation to travel to NYH locations for patient care needs
• Bilingual English/Russian.

Aufgaben

• Create individualized care plans for patients under your supervision and care.
• Monitor and chart vital signs, weight, and height.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge.
• Assist physician with exams and/or urologic procedures.
• Sterilize surgical instruments.
• Prepare and administer injections.
• Provide supportive resources to the patient and the families to promote a positive outlook.
• Teach patients and the families regarding treatment expectations.
• Watch and record the patient’s progress on a constant basis.
• Chart the patient’s response to treatment and medication.
• Complete MAR after treatment.
• Provide the patient with discharge instructions that are specific to the patient as well as emergency numbers after care.
