Summary: As the front-line client ambassador for Centier, the Universal Banker is cross-trained to provide a remarkable experience for clients. They understand clients' transaction requirements and communicate available options effectively. They are responsible for educating clients, retaining, and deepening existing bank relationships, and recommending bank products and services. They participate in daily branch operations, including assisting with account openings, management, and other financial services.

The role also involves completing client transactions efficiently, maintaining accurate records, and handling all monies with care. They proactively participate in the branch's sales process and help implement sales strategies to promote financial well-being.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide high-quality service to clients in a friendly, positive, and professional manner.
2. Build rapport, display caring attitude, identify needs, recommend solutions, handle objections, and ask for business.
3. Promote and advise on bank products, services, and digital channels.
4. Perform basic teller transactions, including deposits, loan payments, check cashing within limits, issuing money orders, and redeeming bonds.
5. Ensure cash balances daily, identify errors when balances do not match.

1. Comply with BSA/AML/OFAC regulations, report suspicious activities.
2. Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
3. Handle and resolve client problems efficiently.
4. Assist with verifying currency shipments, deposits, and ATM/bank vault balancing.
5. Help colleagues with balancing drawers and error correction.
6. Conduct client onboarding and follow-up calls.
7. Work towards individual and branch goals, report progress to management.
8. Stay updated on products and services, seek further development.
9. Represent Centier professionally in community involvement and volunteer activities.
10. Engage in personal development through training and learning.

1. Identify opportunities to refer clients to specialists.

1. Participate in promotional activities and maintain professional appearance.
2. Adhere to company policies, including dress code and cleanliness standards.
3. Follow mission, core values, and standards in all interactions.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.
• Mentor fellow associates.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and at other branches.

Skills and Experience:

• Proficiency in PC software including MS Windows, Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and social media platforms.
• Ability to proofread, verify accuracy, and pay high attention to detail.
• Experience with data entry, currency verification, and system use.
• Strong teamwork and client problem-solving skills.
• Ability to adopt new technology and systems.
• Ability to interact with other banking professionals and train new associates.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Banking experience is a plus but not required.
• Minimum six months of customer service or cash handling experience preferred.
• Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking Spanish is required.
