Job summary

Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties is seeking a Bilingual Spanish Ultrasound Technician / Medical Assistant in Santa Ana, CA. The role performs ultrasounds for patients up to 24 weeks gestation and supports reproductive health care, primary care and surgical services.

You will assist with testing, screening, education/counseling, and pre/post-surgical care, while triaging patients and maintaining clean, prepared exam rooms for procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Ultrasound Technician.
• Medical assistant certificate required.
• 2 yrs. experience in clinical setting desirable.
• Reproductive, managed/primary health care and/or abortion services experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform Ultrasound Technician functions up to 24 weeks and support surgical and non-surgical patients.
• Provide pre- and post-surgical education and counseling to patients.
• Assist Nurses and Clinicians; manage back-office tasks and exam room prep.
• Coordinate and document ultrasound findings and patient care within safety protocols.
