Job summary

MVM, Inc. is seeking a Travel Youth Care Worker for the McAllen, TX location.

The role requires availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and multiple shifts to support a 24/7 operation driving a 15-passenger van and supervising unaccompanied minors and families during transport. Responsibilities include providing orientation in a common language, maintaining line-of-sight supervision, documenting travel milestones, and coordinating with the Command Center to handle any issues.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual; must be able to speak, read and write in English, read, and speak Spanish.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass and maintain a Government Security Background Investigation, including a favorable credit check, no criminal record, and no prior drug use.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Exam Certification.
• Must be able to drive a 15-passenger van (commercial motor vehicle).
• Must live within 50 mile radius of the site location.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Transport unaccompanied minor(s) and/or families in a humane, secure manner.
• Provide orientation to minors/families in a language they understand.
• Review documents to ensure travel details are complete.
• Log transportation milestones and medications in the system.
• Maintain line-of-sight supervision during transport.
• Ensure seating, seat belts, and car seats are properly installed.
• Report emergencies and disruptions to leadership as required.
• Coordinate with Command Center and site leadership during travel.
