Job summary

Center for Family Services of Palm Beach County seeks a compassionate full-time Mental Health Counselor to support expectant mothers across Palm Beach County through the Prenatal Plus Program. Services include home visits, office sessions, community settings, and teletherapy.

The role emphasizes evidence-based therapies (CBT and Motivational Interviewing), clinical documentation, and collaboration with families to navigate pregnancy challenges and prepare for parenthood.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Clinical Social Work or related field with active pursuit of licensure as a Florida State Registered Intern
• Experience providing psychotherapy to adults and/or families with assessment, treatment planning, and documentation
• Ability to establish therapeutic rapport while exercising sound clinical judgment
• Knowledge of evidence-based modalities including CBT and Motivational Interviewing; additional training is a plus
• Bilingual proficiency in Haitian Creole or Spanish strongly preferred to support culturally and linguistically responsive care

Responsibilities

• Provide psychotherapy to adults and/or families
• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans
• Document in accordance with professional standards
• Establish rapport and apply clinical judgment in therapy
• Deliver services in clients' homes, in offices, in community settings, and via teletherapy
