Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 60 college credit hours or have passed the Parapro test as required by Chapter 231.02 Florida Statutes.
• Must have a minimum of 1-3 years’ experience working in an educational environment.
• For Teacher Aide 2/3, an AA/AS or BA/BS degree is required with 1-3 years’ experience; Parapro test preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safeguards the health and safety of all scholars.
• Collaborates with teachers to support language, literacy, math, social studies, science and arts.
• Aids scholars in developing cognitive, social, emotional, and psychomotor skills.
• Establishes rapport with scholars and communicates progress with parents.
• Supports classroom routines during After School time and manages behavior as needed.
• Maintains weekly/monthly paperwork related to School Readiness and supports parent meetings.
• Works in a team to share resources for scholars’ education and socio‑emotional development.
