Job summary

Bridgeway Community Health is seeking a qualified Bilingual - Substance Abuse Counselor for our outpatient treatment team in Oregon. The role focuses on motivational interviewing, DSM-5/ASAM assessments, and collaborative care with a multidisciplinary team.

You will provide individual and group counseling, document care plans, and monitor urinalysis results. A CADC or higher and 1–3 years of experience are preferred, with bilingual capabilities a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's Degree or higher in Human Services or related field.
• 1–3 years of drug and alcohol addiction counseling experience.
• CADC I or higher certification required with MHACBO.

Responsibilities

• Provides client centered care utilizing evidence-based and trauma informed services.
• Uses motivational interviewing techniques to establish therapeutic rapport and facilitate active engagement in services.
• Conducts assessment interviews using the ASAM and DSM-5.
• Works collaboratively with other providers to ensure services are seamless.
• Provides evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address identified treatment and recovery goals.
• Facilitates evidenced based groups.
• Conducts individual counseling sessions.
• Types and maintains timely and accurate documentation including group notes, individual notes, status reports, as well as documenting other contacts made concerning the client.
• Monitors random urinalysis testing.
• Completes monthly status reports for all clients on caseload and facilitates sending them to providers involved with client's care.
