Job summary

Midway Staffing in Des Plaines, IL is seeking a Staffing Coordinator who will be the face of the branch, opening doors for walk-ins, interviewing candidates before lunch, and coordinating with clients to fill shifts.

You will source, screen, and interview candidates, partner with recruiters and the Branch Manager on hiring strategy, and manage onboarding and live placements. The role rewards fast, accurate action and a focus on client and candidate satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years in staffing, recruiting, HR, or administrative support (staffing agency experience is a bonus).
• Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Comfortable running in-person and phone interviews with sharp attention to detail.
• Solid with Microsoft and/or Google Suite, and prior ATS experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Interview candidates in person or by phone and assess fit.
• Source, screen, and shortlist candidates for roles.
• Match candidates to jobs so placements stick.
• Partner with recruiters and Branch Manager on hiring strategy.
• Participate in career fairs and recruitment drives to grow the local talent pool.
