Job Description

Under immediate direction, provides exceptional customer service involving receipt and payment of cash in a high-volume, sales environment.

• Follow established policies in accordance with the bank and supervisor’s guidance.
• Achieve monthly new account production targets as assigned by upper management.
• Process deposits and payouts accurately, recording all transactions and balancing each day's operations.
• Receive cash and checks, verify amounts, and check endorsements.
• Guard against counterfeit checks and identification when examining cash.
• Enter transactions into the computer system and issue customer receipts.
• Sell and prepare money orders, cashier’s checks, wires, savings bonds, travelers’ checks, and CDs.
• Process Western Union wires and cash advances.
• Cross-sell bank services and products.
• Serve a diverse customer base, including a large Spanish-speaking population.
• Perform other tasks as requested by supervisors, related to bank functions.

Environmental and Physical Requirements

• Stand or walk for extended periods depending on branch location.
• Work in a high-volume, stressful, and noisy environment.
• Operate computers and office machinery.
• Lift up to 25 lbs.
