Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide skilled therapy in home health or daytime facilities for patients aged 0-21, at least twice weekly, under physician orders.

The candidate should have a Master's in Speech-Language Pathology, CCC-SLP, and Texas licensure, with pediatrics experience; bilingual Spanish is preferred. Home health experience is a plus. Opportunities include supervision of fellows or assistants for experienced clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility for patients aged 0-21 years, 2 or more times per week, per physician orders.
• Define patients' degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to plan and evaluate goals and instruct team in speech therapy interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training and in-service programs.
• May supervise Clinical Fellows or SLPA if three+ years of experience.

• License to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas
• Experience in pediatrics required
• Home health experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders
• Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience
