Job summary

Bay City ISD is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist - Bilingual to plan and provide services for students with speech, voice, or language disorders. This role reports to the Director of Special Programs and requires a Texas license or TEA certificate, with fingerprinting clearance.

The position involves delivering evaluations, therapy, and collaboration with teachers and ARD committees, plus duties in program management and supervision of assistants as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Texas license as a speech-language pathologist or TEA certificate.
• Satisfactory fingerprinting background check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent evaluations and provide therapy aligned with IEP goals.
• Develop clinical management strategies and diagnostic statements.
• Participate in ARD Committee for placement and goal setting.
• Collaborate with teachers and families to plan and implement language goals.
• Provide professional development to schools to address communication deficits.
• Create a conducive learning environment and manage student behavior.
• Coordinate evaluation of services and oversee documentation and reporting.
