Job summary

Special Education District of Lake County (SEDOL) seeks a Multi-Lingual Teacher (Spanish Speaking) to provide direct instruction to students with limited English proficiency across SEDOL sites. The role requires an EL/TBE endorsement, plus experience with students who have special needs.

Travel between Lake County sites is required to deliver services and collaborate with families and professionals. The teacher will administer assessments, implement ML instruction methods, and contribute to IEP

Qualifications

• A. EL or TBE Spanish endorsement.
• B. Certification in Special Education (LBS 1) preferred.
• C. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
• E. Experience in and knowledgeable about working with students with special needs.
• F. Knowledge of assessment instruments for ML Students.

Responsibilities

• Administer ML-related assessments (W-APT/ACCESS).
• Deliver direct instruction using ML strategies for diverse disabilities.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and families for best practices.
• Utilize technology to support ML instruction and share insights with the team.
• Attend IEP and parent meetings and document observations.
